Gill Parker, British, born 1944. Bronze #5 (edition of 9) signed. Mounted on walnut base. Only edition know to exist in the United States.
Parker's primary love in terms of subject matter, has been equestian. Her work has been exhibited at many well known equestian centers including the National Racecourses at Newmarket, Saratoga, New York and the Gleneagles Equestrian Centre. She is a member of the Royal Society of Equestrian Artists. Among her awards is the prize for best scupture at the British Sporting Art Trust.
Gill Parker has untertaken numerous private commissions, including some from many of the most prominent figures in the equine world such as John Dunlop, Prince Khalid Abdullah and the Marchioness of Travistock. Parker has also been asked to execute trophies for racing and polo events including the Tattersall's Polo Trophy in Saratoga, the Loewe Trophy,Guards Polo Club in Windsor, Trafalgar House Supreme Novice Hurdle in Cheltenham, The Juddemonte International Stakes, in New York and theMeon Valley Stud Fillies Mile in Ascot.
